The cozy double room had a uniquely inviting charm. Enjoyed the scenic outdoor dining for meals that offered quality local fare.
Navigating the narrow country lanes to get there can be a headache, especially in the dark or during heavy rain. Limited parking spaces were a hassle. The inconsistent breakfast service had us confused about what to expect, as on one morning we received the wrong orders. Noise from the bar can seep into the rooms on busy nights, so light sleepers might want to keep that in mind. Lastly, the presence of a few cobwebs indicated that cleaning could use a bit more attention.

Everything was perfect, attractive staff, unbeatable location near to the Cotswolds, the river and the lovely Kelmscott Manor. My standard queen room had modern conveniences, including central heating, a multi-channel television and ironing facilities. The beds were very comfy, the food was brilliant. The service was efficient, totally satisfied. Moreover, I parked on-site.

This quaint inn nestled in a peaceful village offers a wonderful atmosphere. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with cozy furnishings, perfect for relaxation after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was superb with a great selection, including a delicious full English and freshly baked pastries. The staff were very cute and even treated my dog to an extra sausage. I faced some inconvenience with parking due to its limited availability, made arrival a bit tricky. On the second night, the room was not cleaned, but fresh towels were promptly provided upon request. There were also no evening dining options available as the kitchen closed early on Monday and Tuesday, not communicated in advance. These oversights marred an otherwise lovely experience, but I appreciated the charm and cleanliness of the inn.

The garden view from my room was a true highlight. The staff were attentive. The beer garden was beautifully kept, offering unique seating options that added charm to my evening.
Parking can be quite tricky, especially during busy times.

We had a fantastic two-night stay with amazing dinner experiences. the food was some of the best we've had! Breakfast was just as delightful, setting us up perfectly for our hikes. Just a heads up, the room varies a bit from the photos. while cozy, it lacked the promised shower, but the charm made up for it.

Charming atmosphere with friendly staff who ensured we felt welcome throughout our stay. The delicious homemade marmalade served at breakfast was a good touch, and the cozy room provided a snug retreat after a day of exploring. Navigating the narrow country lanes was challenging, especially at night, and parking availability was limited. The lack of evening dining options left us seeking alternatives nearby on weekdays.

We enjoyed the nearby Kelmscott Manor and loved the good meal options. The cozy room and friendly vibe made our family getaway nice, especially for our little one. Those squishy carpets were a treat after a day out!
For dads, it would be great if parking was easier.

We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary double room upgrade, complete with a comfortable bed. The location was stunning, right by Kelmscott Manor, the gorgeous property once owned by William Morris. It was also conveniently close to main Cotswolds attractions and had a lovely beer garden. We also enjoyed that Church Cottage was just a short 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel.
